OKSKY WAX

In our apiaries we use only our own foundation. We recommend that you purchase high-quality OKSKY foundation made from natural wax

Own wax production line

Why our foundation?

  • Cell depth

We maintain the "natural standard" so our cells have the same bottom slope as honeycombs in the wild. This creates optimal conditions for the development of larvae, which promotes their growth.

  • Sterilization

Our wax goes through all stages of thermal sterilization, thanks to which all parasites and harmful bacteria are destroyed. We are confident in the reliability of OKSKY foundation.

  • Вощина Максимум Люкс

complies with the requirements of GOST R 52317-2005 and meets all indicators of EXTRA-CLASS foundation. You can learn more about our foundation in a free consultation with our specialist.

  • Cooperation

If you are a beekeeper, you can purchase our foundation at a wholesale price. You can also exchange your wax for our OKSKY foundation in our warehouse.

Own wax production line

Since the invention of the hive, the main structural element of the nest has been a honeycomb with hexagonal cells (wax). With its help, a beekeeper can manage the growth and development of a bee family, produce fodder and commercial honey.

Wax is one of the significant factors that ensures high productivity of bee colonies. For 30 years (from 1990 to the present day) The scientific and Technical enterprise "Apiary" together with the Department of Beekeeping of the Russian State Agricultural Academy named after K. A. Timiryazev (Moscow) conducted studies of the architectonics of the honeycomb, the angle of the base of the bottom of the cell, the thickness of the wax sheet, studied the parameters of the honeycomb cell taken from hollows, boards and decks, and also compared the work of various wax production lines.

As a result, it was revealed: the technological aspect of improving the production of wax is the approximation of its structural components to honeycombs built in natural conditions. Therefore, our line produces a "maximum-lux" wax - with a cell bottom angle of 95- 110°, which has no analogues in world practice in terms of economy and architectonics of the engraved corner of the base of future cell cells.

Another advantage of Margarita is the sterilization of wax at a temperature of 140 ° for 2 hours. These are optimal indicators for the destruction of a number of parasites. For example, such a common one as rotten. Its spores begin to die en masse no lower than at 135 °, Taking into account the studies of the honeycomb parameter taken from hollows, sides and decks, produces a "maximum-lux" wax - with the value of the bottom angle of the cell 110°, the bottom phenomenon is that the smaller its angle, the deeper the cell turns out. (Monograph "Technology of production of beekeeping products according to the laws of the natural standard").
As a result of these studies of our wax, the Department of Beekeeping of the RGAU of the Ministry of Agriculture named after. Timiryazeva concluded: "When the angle of the base of the cells in the honeycomb is 95-110 °, the cocoons spin the pre-cocoons less. As a result, the cell walls increase slightly in thickness, which preserves a larger cell volume, both after the withdrawal of two generations of bees, and even 4-5 generations. Therefore, in the honeycombs built from this wax, all cells without gaps are used by the uterus to lay fertilized eggs in which the larvae of worker bees develop. At the angle of the base of the cells in the honeycomb at 130-140 ° of the cocoon, the pre-cocoons are spun more. As a result, after the release of two generations of worker bees, these honeycombs are not fully used for the output of bee larvae, since the cell walls thicken faster, and the volume of cells, decreasing, does not correspond to the output of full-fledged workers." Also, on the basis of the conducted research, it was noted: "The maximum level of average daily egg laying of Central Russian bees in built-up honeycombs of wax with an angle of the bottom of the base of the cells in 95-110 ° ("Maximum lux", natural standard, Our wax production line) reaches 2583 pcs. / day, and at the angle of the base of the cells in the honeycombs in 130-140 ° ("Half maximum) - is 1865 pcs. / day."
At the beginning of the 2020 season, a similar experiment was set up with the so-called "injection molding" wax (injection molding is a technology for producing wax by feeding hot wax to the rollers). As a result of the study , it was revealed: The "Maximum Lux" wax produced on our line when placed in bee colonies is rebuilt into honeycombs in 4-6 hours, the injection wax - after 2.0-2.5 days, the wax obtained at AIF 50 (Ukraine) - after 2.2-3.1 days.
-In the cells of the Maximum Lux wax, the uterus lays eggs in 4-6 hours (0.17-0.25 days) after placing the waxed frame in the nest, while the "injection" wax lags behind these indicators for several days. Analyzing the obtained research results, it can be concluded that the reason for such intensive detuning into honeycombs is the phenomenon of the base of the bottom of the cell, which in the wax "Maximum lux" is 95-109 °, which is an analogue of a natural sample (standard). The built-up honeycombs from such a wax are immediately sown with bees. The technology of production of "injection" wax suggests that the amount of wax in the wax sheet is important for the bee, and not the angle of the bottom of the base of the cell.
Biologically speaking, from the standpoint of the nest construction activity of workers, it is necessary to take into account that from the age of 12 working bees wax plates are formed on wax mirrors. These plates are used by them for tuning the cells. Since the mediastinum or the base of future honeycombs in the injection wax is unreasonably thickened to 2.0-2.5 mm, instead of 1.15 mm obtained by using the wax production technology using our line, worker bees will be busy reducing the thickness of the wax offered to them first, and then only begin to rebuild it. Consequently, some of the worker bees that were ready to build honeycombs (nest organizer bees) using wax plates will lose them.
In technological terms, it should be noted that in the production of injection wax, finely dispersed water used violates the molecular bonds and the basis of the molecular lattice of the produced wax. As a result, it becomes brittle and during the transportation of bees (nomads), the honeycombs built from such wax crumble (break). The waste of cells can range from 20.0 to 25.0%.
In comparative terms, it should be noted that the wax produced on
AIF-50 also has a significant drawback associated with the thickness of the formed tape. So the thickness of the tape formed on the drum is 3.5-4.0 mm. Therefore, to "normalize" the thickness, it is driven through a press chamber under pressure, which also violates the molecular basis of the wax used for the production of wax. As a result, the wax turns out to be lightweight for completion, which in honeycombs requires more wax plates and worker bees engaged in the construction of nest buildings, in particular honeycombs.
For three decades, the study of the parameters of honeycombs from hollows, boards and decks of the NTP "Apiary" (Director S. N. Simoganov) together with the Department of Beekeeping of the Russian State Agricultural Academy of Agriculture. Timiryazev (Moscow) found that the angle of the bottom of the base of the cell varies between 95-110 ° (natural sample - standard). It is with such parameters in the natural environment that the queen bee successfully carries out egg laying.
* With a difference in the mass of the wax sheets by 20 g, the wax "Maximum lux", weighing 78-88 g (Lines "Margarita 1 and 2), bees are rebuilt 2 - 2.5 times faster than the "injection" wax, weighing 98 g.
In conclusion, I would like to note that since the establishment of our wax production line, it has attracted the attention of foreign specialists who were participants in international exhibitions and fairs "Intermed" (Moscow, 2000). So in 2000, American colleagues from Tomosindustry, who produce wax, having studied the parameters of wax obtained on our line, as well as evaluating the cost-effectiveness and environmental friendliness of production, said that the market for equipment for the production of wax in Russia rightfully belongs to wax made on our line. In technological terms, their product is wax, made taking into account a natural sample (standard), which many manufacturers did not take into account.
